KAYAK

Building another kayak

This time, it's an East Greenland design. Long, low, narrow. Good for calm waters, easy cruising and weight shift turning, according to what it says on the box.

Just what you need, right? It's about 48cm wide, 550cm long and 17,5 cm high from the keel to the coaming in the back. It should be enough to make possible a roll or two ;) Plans courtesy of Brian Schulz at Capefalcon kayaks. Most images here are courtesy of Henry Tarle.

And no building blog post would be complete without a vid so here goes.
