Finishing and attaching the cockpit coaming

Copper nails look cool I think. These are ring shank nails driven into the oak/ash coaming. If the glue would by any chance come loose, the coaming will probably still hold up.

Copper is soft to work with
...but careful when hammering
No hole in the middle of the boat?
Relief cuts to fold the fabric along the inside of the coaming
Clamps so you can release the string and take a rest
The middle seam. More fabric makes for a thicker "rope"
Remember to stretch at all sides of the coaming when sewing
This could be stretched better
