Laminating Greenland paddles

We be laminatin'. Some paddles already tested. None broken so far. A new technique emerged after a tip from one of the gnarly sea cat boat builders at the club, namely the use of an angle grinder for compound curves.

It's unforgiving, noisy, scary fast and dusty but a life saver so far when the paddle grain is sh**it. I think the results speak for themselves. Why an angle grinder and not calm, beautiful shavings like a real boat builder? Well, sometimes you have grain which is all over the place and you simply can't make clean shavings and a smooth surface no matter how sharp your block plane is. Hence, in comes the heavy artillery.
