If it breaks it breaks. Today we bent the wood on the deck beam lamination jig but one inner lamination broke right at the spot of the middle dowel. Clara made a new one in what seemed like under a minute!

The wood seemed spotless otherwise so we count it off as just a little bad luck. She had already glued an outer lip on the coaming and proceeded to laminate a Masik from three planks of Spruce/Gran. To top it off we made a little shelf experiment, mostly to fiddle about with the chisel, hammer and hand-held circular saw.

Note to self: make smoother jigs in the future. Maybe skip dowels, they make marks in the wood anyway.
